Letter from Michael Campbell

Whether you succeed or fail as an investor depends on whether you understand where interest rates, the Canadian dollar, gold, oil and the equity markets are going.

Of course that's easier said than done given that virtually every analyst was blind sided by the unprecedented events of the last year. I say virtually but not all. As host of Canada's top rated financial show, MoneyTalks, heard across the country on the Corus radio network I've made it my job over the past 27 years to avail myself of the top minds with the top records in the financial business. To give you an example, not once in the past year and a half have we featured a single analyst who was bullish on the general stock markets. More to the point we featured on air and in person two analysts who warned unequivocally of the impending danger.

On October 14, 2007 and again on November 3, 2007 at the MoneyTalks Survival Conference, Peter Grandich of the Grandich Letter warned that "an unprecedented economic tsunami will hit American beginning in 2008". Peter advised publicly to short the US market two days from the top in October, 2007 and stayed short until the last week of October, 2008.

In October, 2007 Bob Hoye of Institutional Investors warned investors that a contraction of credit would reap havoc with all financial assets. At the World Outlook Conference on February 2, 2008 gave the chilling warning that, "We are experiencing the beginning of the greatest train wreck in the history of credit."

The point is that contrary to what so many would have you believe there are analysts who correctly predicted and have now profited from the unprecedented volatility that is gripping the world's financial markets. I am taking the time to write to you to let you know that five such analysts are coming to Vancouver for this year's World Outlook Conference on February 6th & 7th, 2009. While I am extremely confident that the conference features the finest roster of independent financial analysts to appear at any conference in the country, whether this even will be worth your time depends on the answer to a few straight forward questions.

In the last year:

  • Would you or your company have benefitted from anticipating the huge rebound in the US dollar and the accompanying drop in the Canadian dollar, Euro and Auzzie dollar? Well Jack Crooks of the renowned Black Swan Trading clearly and precisely predicted those moves at last years World Outlook Conference and he is back again this year with some surprising predictions.
  • Would you or your company have benefitted from anticipating the October downturn and subsequent follow through in November? That's what Mark Leibovit, VR Trader, who has been named Timer's Digest Long Term Timer for the last 10 years predicted with the use of his much followed Annual forecast Model at last year's Conference. He will be back at this year's Conference with his just released model for 2009 detailing the direction of the stock market, gold, silver and oil.
  • Would you or your company have benefitted from anticipated first the rise in gold and silver and then the drop through the summer into the fall? That's what David Bensimon had warned in October, 2007 through Polar View publication read in Asian and Europe. David is in high demand on both continents and will make his first appearance at this year's World outlook Conference.

But That's Not All

They will be joined by the likes of arguably the best known market trader in North America, Dennis Gartman. In case you are not familiar with his work, Gartman's Market Letter is read in board rooms around the world and by investment professionals from New York to Hong Kong. His take on a variety of markets from currencies to grains to the metals is a must read for anyone engaged in the markets. He will be making his second appearance at the World Outlook Conference.

He will also be joined by Canada's leading independent oil and gas analyst Josef Schachter, who will provide his insights into where oil and gas are heading and how you can profit from the moves. Renowned economist John Johnson will also be there with his outlook for the Canadian economy, interest rates and the Canadian dollar.

I could go on with the calibre of speaker that will be featured at the World Outlook Conference but my point is that the level of volatility and the violence of the moves in all markets necessitates taking advantage of the best possible research and analysis available. I am proud to say that the track record of the World Outlook Conference and the guests on MoneyTalks are unprecedented. That is not always the case with financial programs and conferences that act as cheerleaders for a variety of products or industries. MoneyTalks and the two conferences a year it sponsors are completely independent and beholden to no one. Our only concern is to bring the best analysts available to help individuals and companies navigate today's treacherous financial climate.

If you have any questions or have difficulty registering online please don't hesitate to call us at 1.877.926.6849 or locally at 604.926.6848. We hope you can join us.

Sincerely

Michael Campbell,
Host Of MoneyTalks, Corus Radio
