For more than 25 years Dunnery has enjoyed a front-row seat observing and participating in Canada's evolving capital markets, working as a financial analyst, strategist, and media commentator before moving to Victoria with his family in mid-2003. He is now an investment advisor, licensed all across Canada, a Portfolio Manager throughout Canada and Managing Director of CIBC Wood Gundy. Mr. Best is a regular commentator on financial markets for the CBC, and other national and regional media. Among other assignments, Mr. Best served as a regular contributor to the Financial Times of London's International Gas Report, and until recently was a regular contributing columnist on capital markets for the Globe & Mail's Report on Business. Since moving to Victoria, he has joined the Board of Directors of the Queen Alexandra Foundation for Children and serves on the Investment and Finance Committee. JAMES BARNETT
James Barnett is a grain/oilseed analyst at MF Global Research. Mr. Barnett is responsible for providing content to MF Global’s Research website, including daily fundamental and technical commentary, long term/seasonal reports, and grain/oilseed trade recommendations. In addition, James is the senior editor of MarketVoice, which delivers real time audio market commentary over the internet. Jack Crooks is founder and president of Black Swan Capital, a currency advisory and management firm. He has close to 20 years experience in the currency, equity, and futures arena. Jack is a seasoned investment advisor who has held key positions in brokerage, money management, trading, and research. Jack was founder of Ross International Asset Management and General Manager of Plexus Trading, a discretionary money management firm, Ross International specialized in global stock, bond, and currency asset management for retail clients. As General Manager and partner of Plexus Trading, he specialized in currency futures and commodities trading. In addition, Mr. Crooks was Chief Currency and Futures Strategist of M2 Futures Inc., an investment boutique headquartered in Chicago. He also held the position of Vice President of Global Strategic Research for an international investment boutique where he was responsible for providing daily advice and global strategy analysis. Prior to entering the investment arena, Jack worked in various corporate finance positions. John W. Johnston, PhD Chief Strategist, RBC Investments; The Harbour Group. His specialization in foreign exchange and fixed income, as well as his experience monitoring and forecasting developments in global financial markets, have earned him respect as an astute analyst of the "big picture" and a technical master of investment detail. John has over twenty years of combined experience in the private sector and academia. Most recently, he served as Chief Economist and Managing Director of Global Markets Research at RBC Capital Markets, where he rose through the ranks from when he joined the Royal Bank of Canada as Senior Economist in 1993.
